The Uniting Business Network Luncheons provide people working in business, the opportunity in a friendly and supportive environment, to network, share your experiences and explore how spirituality impacts on us personally, our workplace and society.
 
Time: Lunch 12.15pm for 12.30 pm - 1.30pm
Venue: Australian Institute of Management, 215 Pacific Highway, North Sydney
Cost: $20 cash/cheque for sandwich lunch & beverages
 
Speaker:  Rev. Dr. David Millikan
 
David will be talking about the Rise and Fall of Cults in Australia, Sects and New Religious Movements in Australia with reference to the current controversy concerning Scientology, and the Exclusive Brethern
 
David is a part time Minister with the Uniting Church in Balmain --- part time producer and film maker with Channel 7 -- I am currently working on a Feature for the Sunday Night program on miracles and magic in the exploding Churches of Nigeria. (I was in Nigeria last year and shot 20 hours of astonishing video at a Church convention with 500,000 people)
 
David also lecture’s on New Religious Movements at Charles Sturt University, mainly to police and Social workers.  He is a regular commentator on TV, and author of numerous books. The most recent book he delivered to the Publishers last week.  It is an attempt on his part to explain why he persists in my Christian belief. It is called The Confessions of an Impious Bastard
 
After Easter David will retire to a property on the South Coast, where he plan’s to raise chickens, grow vegetables, build pizza ovens for his friends, write, and make the odd film.
