I mourn the Earth body, her strong, healthy, creative, anything-is-possible, energetic body.
We have taken you for granted. Hardly ever noticed you
Fed you a few tid-bits when we remembered,
shoved things in along the way
And now that you are telling us how distressed you are,
I mourn the fact that we didn’t take greater care of you.
It would have been so easy – just a little focus,
just a little time, just a little care
Is it too late to turn the ship around?
Are we staring mortality in the face?
Or is all that is needed able to be achieved
with a little fine-tune or even hard work?
But first we must mourn.
We must shed the tears of recognition, till we break through to a point of
compassion, commitment and care.
Is there still time? Or have we left the mourning too late?
This is what we are facing in our time. Quite different from the time into which Christ was born. But that time was, to the people then, equally as challenging – and they dared to embrace with hope the coming of the promised one. The way of the coming was a huge surprise to them, as no doubt it will be in our time
